Arnold van Dongen is one of the greatest guitarists in the Netherlands. He started his first band in high school, The Original Talkatives, playing reggae and ska. In 1984, the band won second place at the Grote Prijs van Nederland. 

From 2003 until now, Van Dongen has been the main guitarist in the band of Ilse De Lange. From 2015 he was part of Marco Borsato’s band. Van Dongen has worked with Dutch and international stars such as Loïs Lane, Total Touch, Mathilde Santing, Antonie Kamerling, René Froger, Female Factory, Amy McDonald, Chaka Khan, John Miles, Ceelo Green and Katie Melua.
