Interview with Dutch singer, guitarist and drummer Tessa Boomkamp by duo Rolf Delfos and Coen Witteveen. 

Tessa Boomkamp is a Dutch singer, guitarist and drummer. Tessa studied light music percussion at the Conservatory of Enschede and graduated cum laude. She took lessons from Danny Sahupala and Ton Dijkman (Marco Borsato). When she was younger she fell in love with drums and started to follow lessons at the school of music. As a young girl Tessa grew up with the music of Toto and was inspired by drummer Jeff Porcaro. 

After her studies her music career took off, touring with Marco Borsato, playing stadiums and big tours. Besides that Tessa did studio work for commercials and worked with artists such as Ten Sharp, Sita, Marlayne and Normaal as a guitarist, singer or drummer. Tessa contributed to the CD “Stay” of Ten Sharp, you can hear her on the track ‘Missing Chapter’. 

At the moment Tessa is part of the Edwin Evers band, she is one of the backing vocalists of the ‘The Voice’ and she also has her own girlband called McChicks. In 2005 she released her first solo album called “Alone”. In 2015 she released another soloalbum called “Shot”. Tessa is a multi talented musician and we are happy to share her session with you!
