Adinda is a bass player from The Hague, Netherlands. She is influenced by Argentinian Tango, Latin music and classical music. Adinda travelled to Cuba in 2007 to follow lessons from Orlando “Cachaito” Lopez before returning to The Netherlands and graduating from the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) in 2009. She got a scholarship in New York to study with Andy Gonzalez, Ruden Rodriguez and John Benitez.
Touring the world with string ensembles, symphony orchestras and tango ensembles and playing with Colombian band Monsieur Periné (winner of the 2015 Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Besides all that Adina Meertins also writes herself. She is absolutely one to watch! We hope you enjoy this session.
