Andre Heuvelman has been a trumpet player since 1990 and a solo trumpet performer since 1997 with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, which is known for special concerts in the world’s most beautiful concert halls. Heuvelman is a former member of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, which is known to the wider public from the New Year’s concerts broadcast on television by VARA every year. In February 2014, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble also performed at the thanksgiving party for Princess Beatrix. Heuvelman regularly gives masterclasses and he is a teacher at the Rotterdam conservatory Codarts.
