The career of Surinamese-Dutch singer Ingrid Simons is nothing short of impressive. She’s the voice behind hits including T-Spoon’s “No Time 2 Waste” and Paul Elstak’s “Rainbow In The Sky.” In addition, she even left her mark on Dutch television and radio by singing the intro tunes for soap series ‘Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden’ and the ‘Nederlandse Top 40.’ Those singing skills run in the family, as shown by her daughter Eva Simons.
For her studio sessions, she selected two soul classics to cover; coincidentally, both songs date back to 1986, the year she gained national fame after starting the duo Double Trouble with Bernadette Kraakman. With these two songs, humble heroes 2025 was off to a soulful start…
