Max developed a wide taste when it comes to drumming, influenced by different genres from hip-hop to hardcore, so basically any style you can think of.
Max has performed with Diggy Dex and Def P (Osdorp Posse), Leo Alkemade and Skiggy Rapz, Waylon, Typhoon, Miss Montreal and Madball, the legendary pioneers of New York Hardcore. One of his most memorable experiences was stepping in with Madball during their summer festival shows in 2024; a remarkable moment in his career since Max grew up listening to their music.
The first time that Max van Winkelhof had a show in Carré in Amsterdam with Diggy Dex, it was one for the books. It almost felt like he had worked towards this specific moment, sharing the stage with Stef Bos, Paul de Munnik and Eva de Roovere.
He has toured internationally, playing 10 shows around the SXSW Festival in Austin with Skiggy Rapz in 2011 and going on a US West Coast and Mexico tour with Born From Pain in 2020. Whether it’s headline shows or supporting iconic acts, Max always raises the bar trying to give the best show possible energy. Connecting with the audience throughout his playing is something Max aims for. Every performance is an opportunity to create something unforgettable, a new chapter in a story that’s still being written, one beat at a time.
