|Red Light Jazz combines traditional and modern jazz with the unique atmosphere of the city’s oldest district, where jazz was introduced to the Netherlands in the 1920s and 1930s by American sailors. The festival is not only a tribute to the music genre rooted in the blues, but also to the Red Light District itself a much-discussed neighborhood with a rich culture and history.
