Sena Performers International Jazz Laureate Festival 2024: Takashiband Ft Sandpond

The Takeshi band has been proving to be the best fusion jazz band in Thailand for years. Led by the renowned saxophonist Koh Mr Saxman. Koh, is a versatile saxophonist, born and raised in Thailand. In 1990 Koh won the prize for Best Outstanding Musician From Thailand Music Award Program. Since then Koh has played abroad frequently. The saxophonist has already released five solo albums. This year the Takeshi band will be accompanied by the ‘Endorsed Exceptional Talent’ of Huahin Jazz, the young saxophonist Eakpiya Sanpond. One of Sanpond’s greatest influences is the American saxophonist David Sandborn. This smooth jazz naturally fits perfectly with the Takashi band which will ensure that this concert will end in a party. During this concert series, ten international festivals get the chance to put a promising jazz talent from their own country in the spotlight, and thus give a kick-start to their international career. This year, talents from the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Thailand, Italy, Australia and Bulgaria will present. This concert is endorsed by Huahin Jazz Festival. All participating festivals are partners of the World Jazz Network, an international collaboration of jazz festivals and venues to promote the exchange of jazz talent beyond their own national borders.
