Wiboud Burkens is a Dutch keyboard player, producer and songwriter. For more than two decades he has been active in a wide variety of music genres, swinging from soul/funk to pop, crossover/jazz, world and filmmusic. He arranged and composed not only for large ensembles such as Kindred Spirits Ensemble and Motion Unlimited, but also recorded 100 cd’s as a producer and/or session musician. He’s also the co-founder of the band Liquid Spirits, with whom he gathered excellent reviews for their albums.
In the recent years Wiboud produced albums for Dutch phenomenon Jungle By Night, Lilian Vieira, Rob van Wouw and Re:freshed Orchestra. He also worked closely with Leon Ware, who produced and wrote for Lalah Hathaway. As an MD he was involved in the project group ‘Daughters of Soul’, performing with artists such as Chaka Kahn, Denise Williams, Lalah Hathaway and Sandra St. Victor.
