Deeply rooted in soul, indie, R&B, hip-hop and jazz, Shishani continuously explores musical heritage from their motherland Namibia. “Voortreffelijke album ‘Whispers’”
Het album ‘Whispers’ doet zijn naam eer aan. Het is vaak alsof Shishani naast je zit, je omarmt en je moed inspreekt met zachte stem, maar met overtuigingskracht. Gevoelige, kwetsbare liedjes die je opbouwen en bemoedigen. Prachtige ingetogen zang en mooie eveneens met gevoel ingespeelde percussie vormen een warm bad om je in onder te dompelen. Een album dat je moet beluisteren als je het nodig hebt, dat steuntje in de rug en beluisteren moet als je houdt van prachtige kleine soulvolle nummers, fraai gezongen en met verrassende accenten. Een album dat verdiend om in de intimiteit met aandacht te worden beluisterd. Diepzinnige nummers om te waarderen en te savoureren.
